My ultimate purpose as a teacher is to contribute to the growth of students as thoughtful, independent, and proactive world citizens capable of catalyzing collaborative endeavors of a global scale. In light of this goal, my approach to teaching strikes a balance between orthodox methods and innovative practices aiming at enabling students to practice their knowledge through active learning exercises.
By designing and delivering a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education courses, I practiced evidence-based teaching methods in a wide range of settings (see my CV for a detailed list). My approach to teaching has been also refined through direct engagement with practitioner courses in Geneva, such as the co-supervision of an eight-month active learning course on conflict analysis designed for UN officials.
In a world of rapid technological advancements, effective teaching requires constant self-reflection and continuous evolution. Driven by this conviction, I recently obtained a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching & Learning in 2020.
